Small knowledge of CPU cooler, first look at these points when changing the cooler
Many friends are very worried about the heat dissipation of the computer in summer, and the temperature of the processor is even more worrying. Consider changing to a more powerful radiator? Don't you know the knowledge of these radiators before you release it? Understanding these points will definitely make your shots more stable and accurate.
Copper is better than aluminum? not that simple! The material of the CPU heat sink is mainly copper and aluminum. Because of the specific heat capacity and density of metal, copper absorbs heat and conducts heat quickly, but it also heats up quickly. Aluminum is the opposite, so I can't say which one is better. The radiator of the high-frequency processor combines their advantages. It uses a copper core on the bottom and an aluminum fin design. The effect is very good and it is worth choosing.
There are different wind directions, how should I choose? There are two fan designs for the CPU radiator. One is the traditional downward blowing method, which blows directly on the bottom surface of the radiator and has a more compact structure. The side blowing method is that the fan is on the side of the radiator. Larger fans and multiple fans can be used, but the heat must be quickly transferred to the fins. Generally, multiple heat pipes are used, which is costly and takes up a lot of space. The choice of down blowing or side blowing mainly depends on the design of the chassis and air ducts. There is no choice for a small chassis, and direct blowing can be used to install it. The large chassis can be installed with side blowing, and the blowing direction should match the air path of the chassis as much as possible. After a good air duct is formed, it can also help the memory and the power supply unit to dissipate heat. When choosing a side-blown radiator, you should also pay attention to the size of the CPU radiator. If it is too large, it will press down on the memory slot. Some radiators will be made into a "floating" shape, leaving room for memory, but only general memory sticks can be installed below. , The memory with a larger heat sink is still choking. Also pay attention to the height of the radiator that the chassis can hold. It would be embarrassing if the back cover of the radiator does not fit on the case cover. Heat pipe radiators, don’t just look at the quantity. In fact, the thermal conductivity of generally three or four heat pipes can handle the heat of high-end processors, so there is no need to pursue a particularly large number of heat pipes.
